Zynt Bio ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy, security, and integrity of the data entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and handle proprietary research data and business information provided by our clients, partners, and website visitors.
Unlike consumer-facing services or generic biomedical providers, Zynt Bio operates exclusively as a business-to-business (B2B) computational genomics firm. We do not ingest, process, or store human clinical data, protected health information (PHI), or consumer-identifiable health datasets.
1. Information We Collect
We collect two distinct categories of information:
A. Proprietary Client Research Data (Genomic Datasets)
In the course of providing our services, clients upload raw and processed genomic data cohorts, including but not limited to:
- Raw sequencing files (FASTQ, FASTA).
- Alignment files, expression matrices, and metadata files related to plant, microbial, fungal, or environmental metagenomic research.
- Client-provided reference genomes, plasmid constructs, or annotation files.
B. Business Operations & Corporate Contact Data
We collect standard operational and commercial information necessary to manage contracts, inquiries, and technical consultations:
- Name, professional title, corporate or institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number.
- Communication records, technical requests, and operational feedback submitted via our website or direct channels.
2. How We Use Your Information
Zynt Bio uses collected information strictly to execute contract obligations and maintain secure operations:
- To Execute Computational Pipelines: Processing proprietary research data through our containerized Nextflow workflows on AWS infrastructure to deliver requested genomic analyses.
- To Generate Technical Reporting: Compiling custom compliance-grade technical narratives, patent-ready methodology briefs, and interactive data visualization dashboards.
- To Manage Client Relationships: Processing billing, responding to technical support inquiries, and managing secure client portal access.
Data Commercialization Prohibitions: Zynt Bio will never sell, lease, rent, share, or distribute your proprietary genomic datasets or corporate information to any third party. Your data is never used to train open-source algorithms or pooled to build generalized internal databases without explicit written authorization.
3. Data Protection & AWS Security Architecture
We treat data security as an engineering priority. All client genomic assets are handled within an isolated, enterprise-grade Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud ecosystem:
- Data Isolation: Every client project is allocated to a dedicated, logically isolated storage tier within encrypted Amazon S3 buckets. There is zero cross-contamination or shared access between different client datasets.
- Encryption Standards: All data is encrypted both in transit (using TLS 1.3 protocols) and at rest (using AES-256 cryptographic keys managed via AWS Key Management Service).
- Access Control: Access to raw and processed data assets is governed by strict AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) protocols, restricted entirely to authorized automated pipeline mechanisms and the designated client personnel.
4. Retention and Deletion of Research Assets
We respect your complete ownership of your intellectual property:
- Retention During Active Projects: We store your raw and processed assets securely on AWS during the active execution of your project lifecycle.
- Post-Project Archive & Deletion: Upon final project delivery and client verification, data is handled according to the specific retention parameters established in the Master Services Agreement (MSA).
- Absolute Purging: When a client requests data deletion, files are permanently and irreversibly purged from our active AWS S3 storage tiers and system logs, in compliance with enterprise data sanitization standards.
